You are here to create reality, not to continue status quo. You are here to grow in knowledge, philosophy, and then in truth.  You are here to live, and not be afraid of life. You are here to use your brain to create thoughts and to conquer your ignorance.

What happens when a person becomes enlightened? They conquer their ignorance. What does that mean?

That means they develop their Spirit rather than their altered ego, their personality, their body. And they work everyday in embodiment of that (spirit) energy. They don’t ever really grow old. They have dynamic energy.

They can create and their level of acceptance is extraordinary.

If to operate a machine is to operate like a machine, then we operate not only with each other like machines, we opearte each other like machines. And if a machine is`most effective when it has no effect, then we opearte each other in such a way that we reach the outcome desired - in such a way that nothing happens.

All weapons are designed to affect others without affecting ourselves, to make others answerable to the technology we control. Within your beings, always simply remember, if you follow no other truth, follow the truth that within your being is called joy. If you follow that , you're always going to be right where you need to be, and you will always have life within your being. That's where you need to be. ...when you are faced with something that gives you fear, realize that fear is of man's mind- not God's. So realize that within your being you already have everything you need to go home. (p437) Joy is the fastest way to bypass the circuitry you have with your subpersonalities. (p166)

 In the West you have been struggling for many years with the problem of evil. But in the light of non-duality, there is not any problem.  You need both right and left to have a branch. Do not take sides, if you take sides, you are trying to eliminate half of reality, which is impossible. For many years, the United States has been trying to describe the Soviet Union as the evil side. Some Americans even have the illusion they can survive alone, without the other half. If we look at America very deeply, we see the Soviet Union. And if we look deeply at the Soviet union, we see America. If we look deeply at the rose, we see the garbage; if we look deeply at the garbage, we see the rose. In this international situation, each side is pretending to be the rose, and calling the other side garbage.

Christ, the historical Christ, was not crucified.... He had no intention of dying in that manner; but others felt that to fulfill the prophecies in all ways, a crucifiction was a necessity. Christ did not take part in it. There was a conspiracy in which Judas played a role, an attempt to make a martyr out of Christ. The man chosen was drugged and told he was the Christ - hence the necessity of helping him carry the cross (see Luke 23). He was one of those deluded who believed that he, not the historical Christ , was to fulfill the prophecies. ...Out of compassion Mary was present. The group responsible wanted it to appear that one particular portion of Jews had crucified Christ, and never dreamed that the whole Jewish people ould be "blamed".  p366-367

True Self is the Self that existed before the division of heaven and earth and before one's father and mother were born. This Self is the Self within me, the birds and the beasts, the grasses and the trees and all phenomena. It is excatly what is called 'Buddha Nature". 

This Self has no shape or form, has no birth, has no death. It is not a Self that can be seen with the aid of your present physical eye. Only the (hu)man who has received enlightenment is able to see this. The (hu)man who does see this is said to have seen into her own nature and became a Buddha. It is to use neither thought nor reasoning and to look straight ahead. - Takuan Soho (1573-1645), P81

The transcendental impulse to connect with God and the spiritual world represents one of the most basic and powerful forces in Homo sapiens sapiens. Religious-spiritual-mystical experiences (RSMEs) point to a fundamental dimension of human existence and represent the heart of the world's great religions. This process of self-transcendence awakens one to one's transcendental or spiritual self.

The Brain Mediates but Does Not Produce RSMEs
There is no scientific evidence showing that delusions or hallucinations produced by a dysfunctional brain can induce the kind of long-term positive changes and psychospiritual transformation that often follow RSMEs. In fact, delusions and hallucinations usually constitute negative experiences fom a subjective perspective.

Materialist neuroscientists have not succeeded in providing a satisfactory neurobiological theory of how mind,consciousness, self, and RSMEs arise from the interaction between various brain regions, neural circuits, and neurotransmitters. In my view, this enterprise is doomed to failure. Why? Because of the immense epistemological gap between the psychological realm (psyche) and the physical realm (physis). Findings from NDEs and in particular the case of Pam Reynolds, suggest that mind and consciousness can continue when clinical criteria of death have been reached and the brain no longer functions. These findings also indicate that RSMEs can occur when the Brain is not functioning. Such findinds lead me to posit that the transformative power of RSMEs arises from an encounter with an objectively real spiritual force that exists independently from the individuals who have the experience.

This conclusion is compatible with William James's hypothesis that the brain does not generate but transmits and expresses mental processes/events. The brain can be compared with a television receiver that translates electromagnetic waves (which exist apart from the TV receiver) into picture and sound. Along similar lines Henri Bergson and Aldous huxley have proposed that our brains do not produce mind and consciousness, but rather acts as reducing valves, allowing us the experience of only a narrow portion of perceivable reality. Brain normally limits our experience of the spiritual world. Neuroimaging studies conducted with Carmelite nuns suggest that neuroelectric, neurochemical and nerometabolic changes are necessary for an RSME to take place. p290-292
